Welcome back to Term 4!
Athletics Day was a huge success for all Hōpara students! It was pleasing to see everyone pushing themselves and striving for personal excellence.
Our new writing project called "Our Story, Our Taonga" started this week. We collaboratively constructed 10 interview questions to gather information about a story that has been foundational to us or our whānau. Over the next week, Hōpara students will conduct the interview and begin to construct their articles. We have started a new round of chill clubs. Some students required more structure based on their presentation results last term, hence their projects being designed for them. Please have a chat with your children about what their projects are and how you can best support them.
Reminder - Below are the topics we will discuss in sexuality this term:
Sun Hats - Please make sure your child has a NAMED sun hat ready for school tomorrow. The weather is heating up and we need to stay sun safe!
Mask wearing - We would appreciate all parents/caregivers wearing a mask inside our classroom, we understand if you have an exemption you will not have to.
