Week 11 Blogpost - End of Term 1

Kia ora e te Whānau Thank you for all of your ongoing support throughout the term - we couldn't do it without you!   Today you should have received an assessment document for the term for your child. These samples are in connection with the rubric that was sent out early in the term via Seesaw. You will see a comment from either of us and a reflection from your child for each core curriculum subject, inquiry and school values. All students should be proud of their efforts in these assessments.  Next term you will see a change in how we are commenting on learning journals (see below). Your child will now be given a number that corresponds to a comment, both Nick and myself firmly believe that 1 on 1 chats and direct feedback daily is far more powerful for our students.  TERM 2  WEEK 1 MONDAY - Teacher Only Day  WEEK 2 - FRIDAY -  Subway Lunch (Order Via KINDO)  WEEK 3 - ALL WEEK -  NZ Bully Free Week MONDAY / TUESDAY -  Show Quest at the Town Hall (More information to come)  WEDNES

Kia ora e te Whānau Although it has been a short week we have successfully jammed a lot in!  This week we have been focusing on gathering end of term assessment - you will begin to see this over the next week appear on Seesaw. This assessment directly aligns with the goals set at the beginning on the term (these rubrics are on their Seesaw accounts). Please take the time over the next week and in the holidays to read and comment on the mahi your child is completing.  WHOLE SCHOOL ENVIRO DAY -  This Wednesday, we will be working as a whole school to beautify our environment. Please feel free to send your child with NAMED gumboots, gardening gloves and a gardening trowel (if you have one) on this day.  WEEK 11 -  FRIDAY -  Community Assembly - 9:10 in the MPF  TERM 2  WEEK 1 - MONDAY - Teacher Only Day  Ngā mihi Ashley, Nick, Linda and Helen
